At Mind N Body Port, our goal is to provide a variety of information that will help navigate the stormy seas of life towards a healthy and balanced mind and body.
Together we will seek to explore ways to relax and nourish our mind and body. Some may be through tips and experiences others have already found to be very helpful.
"No two snowflakes are the same." With each of us our journey will differ.
Your journey may involve: food and the art of cooking, beverages, exercise, yoga, meditation, arts & theatre, music, photography, a simple walk enjoying the beauty of nature, or reading a book in front of a crackling fire.
In 1995 I became very ill and it was 2 years before I received a diagnosis. During those 2 years I suffered from unforgiving pain, allergic reactions to food, bowel issues, brain fog, depression, loss of socializing with friends, along with various other health issues. I wanted to give up, I was sure I had developed a terminal decease and there would be no hope.
I was finally informed I had fibromyalgia, and I had no idea what this was.
This would lead to months of research.
How did I get here, and what do I need to do going forward?
The rest of my life would become a long journey of trial and error. I had no idea I was about to encounter, and attempt, to navigate "one of the worst storms of my life."
A busy lifestyle had gotten out of control and I had forgotten to take care of the most important person, "me."
